These terms govern your use of the nautris software (the "Software") and this website. By downloading, installing, or using the Software, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Software.

1License grant

Personal use is free. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and run the Software for personal, non-commercial, and evaluation purposes at no charge.

Commercial use requires a separate license. Any use inside a business or organization, any use in production, and any use where the Software is embedded in, or supports, a product, service, or tool that is sold or otherwise generates revenue, requires a written commercial license from us. Contact us to agree terms and pricing for your use case.

2Restrictions

Except as expressly permitted by these terms or a commercial license, you may not:

• redistribute, resell, sublicense, rent, or offer the Software as a hosted or managed service to third parties;
• use the Software commercially without a valid commercial license;
• remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or license notice;
• reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software except to the limited extent that applicable law expressly permits despite this restriction;
• use the "nautris" name, logo, or branding without our prior written permission.

3Intellectual property & reservation of rights

The Software, its documentation, source code, design, this website, and the "nautris" name and marks are owned by nautris and are protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws. © 2026 nautris. All rights reserved. No rights are granted to you except those expressly stated in these terms or a commercial license. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

4Your documents and data

The Software is self-hosted and runs inside your own infrastructure. You are solely responsible for the documents and data you process with it and for complying with the laws that apply to them. We do not receive, store, or process your documents. See our Privacy & Confidentiality statement.

5No warranty

The Software is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law. You bear the entire risk as to the quality and performance of the Software.

6Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, nautris shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the Software, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the Software in the twelve months before the claim (which is zero for free personal use).

7Termination

This license terminates automatically if you breach these terms. On termination you must stop using and delete all copies of the Software. Sections that by their nature should survive (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability) survive termination.

8Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Software after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

9Governing law

These terms are governed by the applicable laws of the jurisdiction in which nautris is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The competent courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these terms, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have.
